DIY Mixing medium

I got a lot of notes about the DIY brush cleaner, so here’s another super useful link! Water based mixing medium is really just a few ingredients, so save money, DIY!

Mix together 13oz of 70% Alcohol, 2oz Cosmetic Grade Acetone (available at reputable beauty suppliers), and 1oz Jojoba Oil. If desired, essential oils can be added to scent the cleaner (I love a mix of Lemongrass/Lavender or Lemon/Mint). You can also add Tea Tree or Grapefruit Seed essential oil for added antibacterial action.
Use this formula the same way as you would any commercial spray or quick dip brush cleaner. Store in a tightly sealed non-corrosive acrylic or glass container.
